In memory of Jake Allen DelCorso
June 13, 1996-November 2, 2007
On this cool sunny autumn day, Jake left this world to run in the fields across the rainbow bridge with his big sister, Sadie. Jake was a good dog for the entire 11 and a half years of his precious life. He was always happy, which led to his nickname of "Mr. Happy". Eleven years ago this Christmas I brought him home from the vet's office. He weighed a mere 32 pounds and looked like a bag of bones. As he flourished and grew older, he was always sweet and friendly to everyone. There was no one that Jake did not like. His one fault may have been that he loved people too much, and he was somewhat overbearing at times.
Jake loved to take walks with anyone who would take him, but mainly his Grandpa D. He loved his little brother, Crispin who will also miss him dearly. Jake's tail wagged constantly, and he never held a grudge, no matter what. It's a shame we can't all live life as he did.
As sad as I am today, I know that he's in a better place than he would have been. When we let our pets go, we take their pain on ourselves, which we do because we love them so much .
We will miss Jake so very much.
I miss you already, Baby Jake; I loved you dearly and look forward to seeing you again in the next life.
Love,
Carol
