Sandy the Lab mix and Barkley the Beagle are enjoying their retirement from the obedience competition ring. They are both rescue dogs who have come a long, long way thanks to all of their training. They are counting the days to the next Tricks class at Canine Bliss. Sandy spends her spare time by taking naps and Barkley spends his foraging for food. Sandy and Barkley share their home with Jeff and Nancy Reinhart .
"This is Dillon, our now 1 year old Cockapoo. He came to us as a bundle of fur and enough energy for 5 dogs. He was also a puppy mill puppy so had a few issues. We were not sure how to teach him because everything scared him. While at my vet's office I found a paper telling about dog training classes. My husband and I decided this is what we might need. What a great choice. Kris worked with us and Dillon who has now taken 4 different classes, is still full of energy but has learned to listen to us. We wouldn't change his personalit, he keeps us on our toes with his antics but his fears have ceased since he has learned to trust us. We plan on a long wonderful life together. He goes camping with us, loves to swim, has flown to Florida and helps every day with chores around the farm. Still have to get on him about hanging on the horses tails but, you gotta have some fun!!!!" Dan & Jo Decker and Dillon too!!
Hi, we are Bob and Lisa Mason along with Kyle, our 7month old chocolate Lab. Kyle was enrolled in the Puppy Preschool class at Canine Bliss when she was 4 months old. She really benefited from the class as far as being taught to sit, come when called, socialization, bathing, etc. We then enrolled her into the Basic Obedience class with Canine Bliss which strengthens what was taught in puppy class. Kyle will go on to continue her training in the hunting of pheasants, ducks, etc., with Bob. Next Spring we will consider placing Kyle in the advanced basic obedience class with Kris Bliss. It does take a lot of time and repetition for your dog to become obedient but with patience and persistence they can become GOOD CITIZENS. Lisa Mason

Harley is a 2 year old purebred Australian Shepherd from Michigan. He was the owner's favorite and personal pet but I was fortunate enough to adopt him into our family. Harley has been through just about all the training classes offered at Canine Bliss and I HIGHLY recommend them to all dog owners no matter what your intentions are for your pet. A well trainined dog is a happy dog in a happy family! Harley has attained his Therapy Certification and is currently waiting for his owner to get done with college so he can start working with Hospice is Clyde. He is a wonderful friend and lifelong companion. We now look forward to future training at Canine Bliss just "for the fun of it!" Tim Havice
This is my male giant schnauzer. He just turned 1 yr old on July 6th 2009. He is so much fun and does some of the craziest stunts. When he is a good boy we call him the wizard of Oz and when he is a bad boy he is Ozzy Osbourne. Anyway you look at it, he is the coolest dog we have ever had. All 96lbs tries to sit on you when you sit on the couch. I can't count the times he has fallen off the couch while asleep (big moose). Oh is he a mommas boy! I can't get out of his sight. He's so smart and he knows who loves him. I think I just might clone this dog.

Honey is our two year old beagle. She is kind, sweet, obedient, love's kids, my cats, and her little shih tzu buddy Spanky. I have Canine Bliss (kris) to thank for all the great things she does. She is also a 2009 good citizen which made us proud. Barbara and Tom Picciuto

Winter is coming up soon and I know who will love it, and her name is "Jet"! She is a 4 year old female Giant Schnauzer. As you can see she has her nose in everything, sniffing out what ever it is she sniffs. I've never seen a dog this nosey. Jet has her head in the dryer while I am trying to take out the clothes. She knows when anything changes in the house. Like a movie from block busters laying on the end table, a pair of new shoes, a new purse. She knows when ANYTHING is different.
Jet loves the snow so much that I have to make her come into the house. She'll have snowballs all over her long fur with freezing toes and tongue hanging on the floor. She is my protector and loyal friend that I know could never leave me. She lays with me when I am feeling blue and plays with me whan I am feeling happy. She loves me either way. Now thats what you call a best friend! Judy & Jet Hunt
It's Lola!
What can we say about Lola???? Lola is a stinker and an angel all wrapped up in a bulldog package....She has been known to lick the tears off your face, make you smile and then turn around and shred an entire mega roll of paper towels. She acts and looks tough, but whines like a baby when a kitten bats her on the nose.. She is very high maintenance, very frustrating and rather bull-headed, but at the same time, she is the best therapy in the world.
Look at that face....how can you not smile at that?!

Gordon is one of three indescribable puppies that were dumped on a dark, cold January night. As chance would have it, the residents of the house heard a car stop, doors open, doors close and speed off. When they looked outside there were these three adorable babies all cuddled up together in the deep snow. They were immediately rescued by a local group. Knowing that I just had lost my special dog Alex, they contacted me to see if I was interested in adopting one of these bundles. I had the privelege of fostering these three boys for approximately two months while they awaited a permanent home. It was agreed that I would get first choice of one of the puppies. It was a hard choice, but in the end I chose Gordon. I can't for the life of me give you a reason why.
Gordon's two brothers were adopted together by a wonderful family with three boys. So now our happy home went from five to three. Without his brothers, Gordon became shy and timid. Once relying on his brothers he now relied on Zoey (my elder black lab) to keep him in his comfort zone. I had just gotten word from the vet that Zoey had cancer and prognosos was not good. I realized then that Gordon needed to become more confident.
Past experience told me that the best thing to do was to take Gordon to obedience school. So off to Canine Bliss we went. Our first class was basic obedience. This was the first time Gordon rode in the car without Zoey. All 42 pounds of him sat on my lap and shook. When we got to school he cowered from the unfamiliar surroundings. His eyes were like saucers as he stuck to me like glue.
But as weeks went by, Gordon became more confident. When we walked into school he started prancing as to say "Here I am!!" This time also allowed Gordon and me to bond.
I know Gordon will always be a little shy. Who can completely figure out personalities? But I do know that the classes at Canine Bliss were extremely beneficial not only for Gordon, but for me. Fran Gierhart
